Situation

A group of schools had multiple locations with isolated ERP systems, causing significant challenges in data management. The finance team manually collated data from various locations to produce consolidated reports on a monthly basis, which was time-consuming and resource-intensive. The existing ERP systems were mainly focused on operations with minimal emphasis on analytics, leading to inefficiencies in management information systems (MIS).

Task

The task was to automate and centralize the data management process across all school locations. This involved integrating the isolated ERP systems into a unified database, eliminating manual reporting, reducing dependency on personnel, and providing accurate, real-time insights accessible from anywhere.

Action
Finlytyx implemented Power BI to centralize and automate the data management process. We integrated all ERP systems into a single, unified database, enabling real-time data access and consolidated reporting. Additionally, we developed executive dashboards that could be accessed from mobile devices, providing management with accurate and real-time insights.
Result
The traditional process of the finance team manually collating data and producing reports was fully eliminated. The new system significantly reduced time and resources spent on data management. The management gained the ability to access their executive dashboards from anywhere, increasing accuracy and accessibility of information. This transformation enhanced operational efficiency and enabled informed, strategic decision-making across the school group.
